But right now, Xiaomi's gaming phone brand Black Shark may be close to launching a flagship model with 100W fast charging and Snapdragon 888 Plus SoC.
According to the latest news from Chinese blogger Digital Chat Station, a new Black Shark has in fact been certified. The online page reveals that the model number KTUS-A0 belongs to the Black Shark 5. However, it is not yet certain whether this device will be a flagship for next year or a refresh of the Black Shark 4 but with 100W fast charging and the Snapdragon 888+ mentioned earlier.
Currently, the latest generation of Black Shark products on sale includes the Black Shark 4 series, namely the Black Shark 4 and Black Shark 4 Pro. The two gaming phones were officially released in March of this year. For the first time, an SSD solid state drive was introduced for memory, like for PCs. For the smartphone category, storage read and write performance has been increased by 69%, and speed in scenarios like installing games can completely demolish competing products.
Recall that the Black Shark 4 is equipped with Snapdragon 870, while the Black Shark 4 Pro is equipped with Snapdragon 888 and comes standard with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS3.1 internal memory, so as to achieve maximum performance.
The Black Shark 4 series also offers one of the best autonomy in the category, the smartphone is in fact equipped as standard with a 4500 mAh battery and 120 W ultra-flash fast charging. At maximum power it can be recharged to 100% in only 15 minutes.
It is worth mentioning that the starting price of the Black Shark 4 is 499 euros in Italy, which makes it the cheapest 120W fast charging model in the world.
