Black Shark 6 goodbye, but welcome…0 calorie energy drink. WTF?

It was some time ago announced a press conference for December 5th. On this occasion, the Xiaomi offshoot company Black Shark should have announced something important. He did it: the end of work on Black Shark 6. That's right: the gaming phone won't be released in 2023 and apparently not even in 2024. But there's still a surprise... a beverage energy.

Black Shark 6 will not be released in 202, an energy drink will take its place

I admit, when I read the news I was a little perplexed, but the truth is the company dedicated to gaming phones, supported since the beginning by Xiaomi, is in crisis. During the aforementioned conference, one of the company's executives confirmed that the brand is not doing well. Starting a few years ago, but especially after the release of the latest Black Shark 5 model, the company began to suffer economically so much so that it paused production of Black Shark 6.

These are the words: “We have indeed encountered difficulties in our journey: in the face of adversity, one can only stop, work hard to rest and accumulate strength, so Black Shark 6 will be held up for release, but the shark has not given up.”

This was supposed to be the Black Shark 6

And that's why it has announced which will launch a whole new range of products always dedicated to gamers. However, among these there will be no gaming phones at least for the moment. One of the products that has most aroused curiosity (and, to be honest, even started controversy) is the 0 calorie energy drink Black Shark Athletic Energy Water.

According to what is stated, this drink is designed primarily for help during competitions, It is low sugar, low calories and it tastes like lemon iced tea. The sugar content is ≤3,5g/100ml, 30% less than the Chinese low-sugar standard.

This move really makes you think: a satellite company of Xiaomi is in financial difficulty and it is no secret that i gaming phones are not exactly the first choice of gamers. So what will be the future of the brand? Will it remove smartphones from the catalog and continue to produce only accessories?
