As we had anticipated long ago, the rollout of ROM China and Global MIUI 9 was expected at the same time or almost for both branches of development. Many of you have asked, many of you already knew, the stable versions of their respective weekly ROMs are released at about 40 days apart from each other. MIUI 9: "Lightning Fast" but not for everyone!
Yes, it is true that yesterday the third and final installment of Xiaomi devices received China's first developer beta (beta testers only). And it is also true that, for them, is expected to be released MIUI 9 on ROM China developer and Global beta (for those devices achieved by Global Development) by the end of September.
But unfortunately we must give you some bad news.
Although we had repeatedly repeated it in our groups and on our Facebook page than for the ROM Stable it would have been a matter of forty days, unfortunately poco ago came a official announcement: China Stable and Global Stable will be released ...you do not know how much.
Yes, Xiaomi did not give a specific date for the first release and the motivation this time is that the development of the new OS will take longer than we had been used with MIUI 8.
As you will know, the stable versions group fixes and improvements of weekly ROMs for a certain period (approximately 40 days). And the work of Xiaomi developers, at this early stage of release of MIUI 9, it will be very hard because of some bug fixes that will become necessary and will, however, take some time.
"What can I do if I have the Global Stable?"
Well, first of all we need to specify one thing. The most plausible period for the first release of the ROM Stable it should be for mid October. Yes, I'm not kidding ... unfortunately!
Then my advice is simple. In fact, they are two and depend on what you feel you are doing:
- at least in the early days of developing a new operating system, it is advisable to keep a ROM that is updated or updated frequently. This is because, in the case of more obvious bugs, the problem would be limited to a few days due to weekly updates. So if you just wanted to try the MIUI 9 and you are not so patient to wait for the release of Global Stabili with MIUI 9, my advice is to switch to Global Beta.
As? Or by manually downloading the Global Beta FULL ROM for your model from here and installing it from Updater or by using the automatic tool. In both cases not you will need to unlock the bootloader but you need to make a backup on an external drive or on a PC because the memory of your device will be formatted. - If you feel satisfied with your device, you have not suffered (like me - ehm .. mannages!) Of the last available ROM, stay where you are with the Global Stable because you will receive the OTA update to MIUI 9 as soon as available.

I personally am for custom roms, bought a redmi 3s a year ago not even a week later I had already switched to lineage (at the time in development) but nevertheless a thousand times better than miui 8 ... (And I tried several versions) but as I see it, I have a device with 16 gigabytes of memory and 2 of RAM and then find half memory occupied only by the system and very little RAM available ... You should manually update it by downloading the ROM from the official site
I have installed the global developer on my Mi5 for a couple of days, and for the time being I have not run into big bugs and I find it very good.
