After all this rumor about future Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S and Mi 7 smartphones it seems that the tech people have forgotten about Xiaomi Mi 6, to date the most powerful device belonging to the Mi series. As stated by the company at the launch event, it took 7 years before developing this wonderful smartphone that even belongs to the so-called top-of-the-range class it does not define a camera phone, although the quality returned by the photographic industry is not bad. In fact, thanks to the Sony IMX386 sensor who works paired with the Samsung S5K3M3, photographic performances are similar to those of some DSLRs, even if at software level the software algorithm does not work miracles and in some respects compared to the performance of the Mi Note 3, it is safe to say that Xiaomi can do better. But Xiaomi is attentive to details and albeit with considerable delay, Lei Jun's OEM stands releasing an OTA update that seems to improve Mi 6's way of capturing photos.
Today, 12 March, the official MIUI team announced that theXiaomi Mi 6 camera software optimization is underway and that the latest stable version arrived at the 9.5 version, contains part of those optimization algorithms previously sent to the testers. In reality already with the 8.1.18 version released in January the optimized software was present, dedicating the improvements to two aspects: the updating of thealgorithm that adjusts the autofocus for better precision in automatic focusing but also self-exposure and the algorithm dedicated to automatic white balance.
XIAOMI MI 6 APPRESTA TO BECOME A PHONE CAMERA
The final step is therefore short since MIUI officials have stated that with the next 8.3.15 developer update there will be further improvements such as:
- Optimized speed and accuracy of autofocus
- Improved color reproduction accuracy and dynamic range of photos
- Optimize image details and background noise
- Optimized brightness and color in landscape mode
- Optimized autofocus, color and brightness in video mode
