Mobile radio active is perhaps the bugs most hated of Lollipopbecause it affects a very important aspect, namely the autonomy of our smartphone. Google recognized it after several months and promised a fix on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, butCyanogenMod could do even better, solving it within a few days.

In essence, the problem is that the system does not send the radio in sleep mode after a connection, leaving it active and consuming so much battery. According to developer of CyanogenMod who has designed the solution, the bug is due to NetworkManagementService.java, which discards the radio's sleep notification that, while on, consumes the precious battery of your device.
Commitment has been opened up Gerrit Code and now the code will be verified by the team and then tested, but if everything goes well it could be included in the next nightly di CyanogenMod in the next days; who knows that too Google can not draw on this solution if it really does work.
