In these hours the impossible happened. I finally managed to leave but in spite of this the anxiety did not disappear but actually increased. The difficulty with the language is a very difficult obstacle to overcome but fortunately along with me are 3 fantastic teammates, who along with me will face this adventure that responds to the name of #Mi Explorers.
Surely you know them, they are Michel Cognon, Simone Malavolta and Luca Ceraso with whom to share not only the passion for the Xiaomi brand but also the hotel room. But let me tell you what happened in these 24 hours. Leaving Italy I sit on the plane, which I thought was older, but in my place a sweet damsel had stolen my window seat from me ... well, okay, I let it go I can't argue as soon as I leave. Once I landed, I get distracted for a moment on my mobile phone to understand how I was at the signal reception level with the Iliad and Ho.mobile operators. Moral of the story at one point I find myself in the international boarding section where I queue 3 times to understand how to get out of the airport.
The fact that they thought of me as an insane elephant was clearly read on the face of the control workers. But I can leave and with great surprise there were waiting for the members of the Global community of Xiaomi but also a nice driver who with a beautiful Mercedes Benz accompanied me to the hotel.
You understood correctly, I had a personal driver for me, with a decidedly luxurious car. In short, I felt a VIP, or rather an XIP (Xiaomi Important Person). I land at the hotel, I check in and here is my room. Modern lines, clean and classy as the design of Xiaomi products, are waiting for me so much that I decide to shoot a small video in the style of Human Safari.
But the adrenaline in the body is so great and so I decide to go out, take a ride around the fantastic Madrid. I walk over 10 km on foot, I take pictures with products that I have in test and for a moment I feel part of the Spanish community of Madrid. Finally I decide to return to the hotel room, where I put my mind to rest for an hour, partly because of my companions had not yet arrived. However, Madrid is so beautiful that I took advantage of some shots in the evening.
Now without delaying too much, we arrive at the evening where all the #MiExplorers globally come together to take stock of the situation, but above all where we finally receive our samples to test. We are talking about Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite, the two new Xiaomi devices with the Android One operating system on board that will undergo a real in-depth test on our part, in short, a full immersion in battery life, general and photographic performance.
The rest of the evening is free but we Italian #MiExplorers decide to take a ride through the main streets of Madrid and enjoy a good and typical cold Sangria that I personally dedicate to all of you. Because you guys are the engine of everything, YOU are the essence of all this, because YOU are the friends with whom to share these moments of joy.
