From November 1st, Disney+ introduces in Italy a new plan subscription with advertising, further enriching the offer with two additional ad-free options. This move expands to three the choices available for users who wish to access the contents of the streaming platform. It should be remembered that this option had already existed announced in other countries.

New plans and prices
With the arrival of the month of November, Disney+ has launched the plan Standard with advertising, offering its subscribers a more economical solution for only 5,99 euros per month. In addition, two more plans have been introduced: the plan Standard for € 8,99 per month or 89,99 euros per year, and the plan Premium a 11,99 per month or 119,90 euros per year. Both the Standard and Premium plans are ad-free, with the Premium plan offering additional benefits such as up to 4K UHD & HDR video quality and four simultaneous streams.
The technical specifications of the various plans vary in terms of video quality, number of simultaneous streams and download options. The Standard plan with advertising offers a video quality up to Full HD 1080p with two simultaneous streams, but without the download option. In contrast, the Standard and Premium plans allow content download, with the Premium elevating the audio experience up to Dolby Atmos.
Options for current subscribers
For current subscribers, Disney+ offers the possibility to maintain the existing subscription, which will be rebranded as Disney+ Premium, or opt for one of the new plans at the end of the current billing period. The new rates will be applied starting from 6 December 2023 for those who choose not to change their subscription. However, for those who make a new plan, the prices will be applied from November 1st.
