DJI FlyCart 30 is the future of aerial deliveries. Will Amazon also use it?

The drone sector is constantly evolving and DJI, world leader in the production of civil drones, did a big step forward in the drones for deliveries. With the arrival of the DJI FlyCart 30, air deliveries could soon become an everyday reality. This new model is designed specifically for the transport and delivery of goods, combining advanced technology and operational versatility.

Technical characteristics of DJI FlyCart 30

The DJI FlyCart 30 is equipped with a four-axis, eight-blade multi-rotor system, made in carbon fiber. This configuration offers an ideal balance between power and efficiency, allowing the drone to carry up to 30 kg load for a distance of 16 km with two batteries. THE

In emergency mode, with a single battery, it can carry up to 40 kg but for a reduced range of 8 km. Its cargo compartment has a capacity of 70 liters and can be equipped with weight sensors or with a "crane" system with winch. This would allow not only to lower more or less heavy and bulky packages, but also potentially to pick them up in difficult to reach areas.

Specifically, the device has a four-axis coaxial multirotor configuration and eight blades with carbon fiber propellers. Like other drones, users can use different battery configurations that directly affect their performance.

Temperature and autonomy

A significant aspect of the DJI FlyCart 30 is its ability to operate in a wide temperature range, varying from -20 to 45 °C. The batteries, for their part, have a self-heating system that allows them to operate with optimal performance even in low temperature scenarios.

Delivery support systems

Alongside hardware, DJI also offers software solutions for effective delivery management. The DJI DeliveryHub allows you to plan and track delivery flights while DJI Pilot 2 offers detailed manual control of the drone. These systems support integration with cloud platforms and external payloads, further expanding the application potential of the drone.

At this time, DJI has not yet revealed pricing and availability details for the FlyCart 30 globally. However, it will arrive in 2024, revolutionizing the world of air deliveries.
