As we had announced a few days ago, DJI unveiled the new drone Matrice 30 (or M30) which has characteristics beyond imagination. It is part of the category Enterprise, therefore "corporate", dedicated to a demanding but also professional public. In fact, the drone allows you to do things never seen like go into the fire and resist under the elements. But having said that, let's see how it's done, the specs and the (very high) price.
DJI Matrice 30 (or M30) is the company's new super expensive but also super-equipped drone in the Enterprise category. Here are the specs
The DJI Matrice 30 is equipped with a FPV camera improved for the pilot, backup systems, three propeller emergency landing and a health management system. The M30 also offers the option of avoid obstacles in six directions. The DJI M30 is equipped with a four-antenna OcuSync 3 Enterprise video transmission signal and supports backup of the LTE2 connection. The drone can also be handed over to another pilot mid-flight for long-range operations.
With a new TB30 battery, the M30 has a flight time of the. It has two batteries which are hot swappable, which means we can land the drone and swap both batteries without ever having to shut down the quadcopter. Its BS30 smart charging case allows for fast battery charging from 20% to 90% in 30 minutes.

The Matrice 30 can be folded and stored in a carrying case or Pelican backpack supplied. It weighs "only" 3.7 kg and it has a new self-locking system that allows it to be folded down at the push of a button. Indeed, the drone in question looks like a hybrid between a Mavic 3 and an M300, with all the comforts of a folding.
The DJI Matrice 30 delivers data protection and privacy to business users:
- local data mode acts like the “airplane mode” of a smartphone completely disconnecting the DJI M30 from the Internet, ensuring that all data remains only in the drone
- AES encryption SD card protects all photos, videos and flight logs that are stored with a security code
- updates can be downloaded from DJI's official website and saved to an external storage device such as a microSD card, before being loaded into the M30 and updated with DJI Pilot; subsequently, they are can also be installed offline
DJI RC Plus controller
Il DJI RC Plus now becomes DJI's flagship enterprise-grade remote. It features one 7 ″ high resolution screen, very bright and easy to use. The remote has dedicated buttons that can be operated with gloves and is certified IP54 so it can be used in the rain.
Compatible with the M30 and, in the future, the M300, the RC Plus will replace the Enterprise version of DJI's Smart Controller. However, production of this controller will not be stopped. For now, the M300 will still ship with the Smart Controller, and if DJI upgrades to RC Plus, they will announce it separately.
DJI FlightHub 2
FlightHub 2 is the software for the drone management Enterprise. The main novelty of this software is that it is entirely cloud based. This led to controlling the management of missions and viewing all information from any device with a connection, such as tablets, smartphones and PCs.
DJI FlightHub 2 supports the functionality of mapping which allows users to respond quickly to rapidly changing situations. There panorama synchronization with one tap create a 360 ° panorama and upload to the cloud. The shared panoramas and the coordinates from which they were captured are inserted into the 2.5D map of the mission, guaranteeing all team members quick aerial knowledge.
Il Cloud Mapping allows users to highlight an area of interest, allowing the DJI M30 to automatically map the area in 2D: FlightHub 2 will turn these images into a map, which will overlap the user's mapping service provider.
DJI Docks
The Dock that we see in the images, allows you to carry out scheduled missions even with the drone a full load. However, the autonomy at full load does not allow a long flight and in fact they are only guaranteed 7 km radius. Thanks to the fast charging and battery cooling system, the drone can take off again only 25 minutes after landing on the dock.
