Xiaomi not only tries to protect its customers, as sometimes it happens that a device is marketed exclusively in China and yet some "Cunning" pass the smartphone to Global version (remember the story of the Mi 5X), installing ROM farlocche and potentially harmful. On the other hand Xiaomi he also wants to protect his investments in a foreign land, trying to persuade users to buy only products officially sold in their own country and at official channels.

The most attentive will have noticed a couple of quirks in this list: Xiaomi Mi 6X e Mi Pad 4 they are sold only in China, and a Global ROM is not currently available POCOPHONE F1 it is sold in a global version only. Their presence in the list could therefore mean the intention, future or past, to launch the three smartphones on markets other than those originally planned.
So recapitulating if you try to flash a different MIUI version on these terminals from that of belonging, from Global to China and vice versa, in case there is no correspondence, the system will restart the phone in mode MIUI recovery returning an error message and preventing you from doing anything, practically bricking the phone. Before creating unnecessary alarms, however, we remind you that this only happens if the smartphone has the bootloader blockedSo the solution to all problems is to unlock the bootloader of the device so that you can flash any MIUI or Custom ROM ROM version on it, subject to appropriate requirements.
It is also recommended if you use the Mi Flash tool of remove the flag from the CLEAN ALL AND LOCK option, while always choosing the FLASH ALL option, otherwise even in this case you will meet an inevitable brick of the smartphone. Finally as a last resort, if it was too late and then you found yourself in the situation to find a technological brick in your hands, do not worry because through the EDL mode (if possible) you can flash the right version of MIUI for your terminal .
