Elon Musk promises to pay Twitter users, but with a 'but'

Elon Musk back on the crest of the wave and on the front pages of the newspapers. The figure of him has now become central: it is a much talked-about personality, for better or for worse. Since he became majority shareholder and CEO of Twitter, Elon Musk has done all sorts of things: from the mass dismissal of employees to the blackout of some posts. The latest gimmick might please some "special" users.

Does Elon Musk pay Twitter users? Yes, the proposal he made is true even if the idea does not refer to everyone. Here are the details

Twitter CEO Elon Musk has announced another upcoming innovation. According to him, the social network will soon begin to pay users for the most “successful” tweets. It's true, at first glance the proposal seems really tempting (perhaps to recover the millions of users who have abandoned the social platform), but no, all that glitters is gold.

In a recent postMusk claimed that content creators on Twitter would be able to earn a portion of ad revenue just by posting unique tweets. The more successful the post is and the more responses it gets, the more money its creator will earn. Every time someone opens a post and scrolls down the page, the author of the post will be credited an impression of the announcement.

The businessman has not yet shared detailed information on how this earnings-by-view mechanism will work on Twitter. Therefore, it is not known exactly what percentage will go to users and how they will find out about the number of “credited” impressions. However, the billionaire clarified that before receiving any revenue, the user must first pay. In what sense? The feature will only be available to those who have a Twitter Blue subscription and a verified account status (blue check mark). In either case, a subscription is required.

Sure, the long-term returns could be more than the amount invested, but we ask ourselves: is it worth it? And above all, will Elon Musk succeed in change the fortunes of Twitter?
