Event Airgel 3-in-1 Jacket is the ultra waterproof jacket with eVent® technology
Let's start by specifying the three main features, namely the ultra cold resistant, waterproofing and the possibility of transforming it into a duvet.
The first feature is obtained thanks to the use of PrimaLoft technology with Cross Core which blends PrimaLoft Gold Insulation technology with Airgel technology, becoming the gold standard in lightweight thermal protection. The new technology provides up to 52% more heat for the same weight, compared to the insulation of similar technologies. This allows customers to get both increased warmth and weight reduction. In addition, PrimaLoft insulation with Cross Core technology also contains 35% post-consumer recycled content (PCR).
Above the PrimaLoft Cross Core material layer we find an eVent® fabric cover, a fabric designed to function as a waterproof and breathable membrane, which is used in a variety of outdoor garments, but more commonly seen in waterproof jackets. EVent® fabrics are designed to wick sweat out and use a patented waterproof membrane built out of millions of tiny pores. In practice it is the competitor of the famous GORE-TEX, but it is technically more breathable and therefore faster to dry.
Finally, the jacket that in its entirety can keep our temperature for 30 minutes at -30 degrees Celsius (without moving), can also transform into a more ordinary down jacket for a more trendy look, while maintaining the PrimaLoft Cross Core inner layer for protect us from the cold.
The 3-in-1 Airgel Event Jacket is now crowdfunding on Xiaomi Youpin at the price of 599 yuan, about 75 euros at the current exchange rate.
