Almost exclusively a few days ago we saw how in September the brand would have introduced on the MIUI a whole new and really useful service. We described it as a feature that would allow us to create some sort of collaboration between Xiaomi smartphones and PCs: in fact we were not wrong. The team of XDA brings us what is the interface of this service, anticipating a bit 'how it will look and what we can do through it. Let's see the images of the feature multi-screen from Xiaomi. We remind you that the service will start in September beta, therefore it takes some time to see it on global devices.
The multi-screen functionality of Xiaomi, through the "Device control" app, is a proprietary alternative to apps that allows you to use your smartphone from a PC and vice versa
"Xiaomi Device Control”Is the name of the new application added to the version MIUI 12 beta mounted on Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra. Through the study of this application, the fXiaomi multiscreen anointing, which will allow you to control and use your smartphone from your PC or vice versa. But control is not the main function: the mirroring and functionality Xiaomi Call will be the prerogatives of the app.
According to what has been revealed, the two devices that will be able to use the feature immediately will be Xiaomi mi 10 ultra e Mi Notebook Pro 15 ″. Everything goes back to what we had previously communicated. Based on what we see, it will be possible transmit screen contents from your smartphone to your PC via Wi-Fi, control it from the PC e transfer files. This function should be called "Screen Combo" (according to the screenshots below) although the name may change by the time the feature comes to stable versions.
“Screen Combo”, or whatever it will be called, allows you to place a copy of your smartphone screen on a PC connected to the service. In this way it will be possible to interact between mobile platforms without the dangers of lag or disconnections. On the screenshot on the right we see the possibilities that Xiaomi's multiscreen service offers us:
- file transfer;
- opening multiple windows: you can aopen multiple windows on your phone and then use the service to launch several apps at the same time;
- edit elements: it will be possible edit items from your smartphone to your computer;
- Xiaomi Call: we know from previous information that it will also be possible to make calls through the PC but using the mobile device.
In short, a very useful proprietary service for those who work in multitasking. What do you think?
