We had already talked about Xiaomi's willingness to make a new smartphone / phablet with a diagonal display above the 6 "inches | Xiaomi: new phablet from over 6 inches named by users |. Additionally, this time the Chinese company gave its users the choice of the most appropriate name to give it, however, having to choose between four specific names. The result of this poll conducted by the company itself on various media channels has seen as undisputed winner the name "Xiaomi Mi Max“, Which does not surprise us since this is the only most appropriate among all those proposed | And the winner is ... Xiaomi Mi Max |.
From the recent rumors, we have come to know some of the hypothetical characteristics that will accompany this phablet. Specifically, it is assumed that this device will have the top chip from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 820 (the same as seen in Xiaomi Mi 5), a display from 6,4 "inches with resolution and typology unknown, a metal body it's a sensor for fingerprint recognition.
However, thanks to two leak images, it is possible to confirm some of these previous assumptions, as these photos would portray the front panel of the Xiaomi Mi Max.
First of all, the size of the reported panel confirms the diagonal of the display greater than 6 "inches, as well as the absence of thin frames around the display (seen in the Xiaomi Mi 5) which, instead, leave space for that black border poco aesthetic. Furthermore, it is possible to notice the presence of the three canonical soft-touch keys at the base of the panel, in addition to the absence of a front home button with the sensor for fingerprint recognition, which leads us to assume that it will be positioned at the rear or below the display itself. Finally, it is possible to see the presence of two upper holes at the two ends of the ear capsule grid which will surely be dedicated respectively to the front photographic sensor and to the proximity sensor.
For now this is all but as soon as we know about the new Xiaomi phablet, we will not let you know.
