I would say after 3 months the owners of I 5S could really expect an update for their device, also considering that, as you have surely discovered for yourself, the Global Stable 8.0.3 does not allow unlocking the bootloader due to the absence of a function developed only after the release of the ROM (here's the guide on it). Having, then, the EDL mode not reachable, we found ourselves without an escape route: no unlocking, no ROM change unless a DFC cable and… a lot of patience!
Many features, many optimizations and a great hope. We hope that this ROM is the keystone for the future developments of this device which, until now, has seen the Global branch somewhat abandoned!

The ROM will now arrive through Updater app, then through OTA update. It has not been released yet in .zip and fastboot. Of course you already know how to do it, but I remember it.
Go to app Updater and click on the search for updates. You should point out the presence of the 8.2.1 update which, among other things, should also have the Italian language!

According to what is written by the users of the official forum, the update of the Global Stable brings improvements in daily use starting from the optimization of the fingerprint sensor.
As you will see, it will be an important upgrade, but we can not ensure that the implemented features are perfect until we have feedback on it: it will surely be a better ROM than the Global Stable 8.0.3 that, I guess, was really bad.

Not exactly. I have unlocked the bootloader, installed a custom recovery (the ZCX-TWRP that keeps active updates) and installed the Global Stable.
