A couple of days ago Google officially released a blog, outlining the future direction of AI development by Google, believing that AI has the potential to benefit society and deliver transformative innovation, and will focus on making l 'AI is a benefit for users and society.

The article was co-authored by Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Google Research Senior Researcher and Vice President Jeff Dean, Google Vice President of Engineering Marian Croak, DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis and Senior VP of Technology and James Manyika company.

It's an exciting time in the development of AI. Our approach to developing and harnessing the potential of AI is based on our founding mission – to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful – and is shaped by our commitment to improving the lives of as many people as possible. We believe artificial intelligence is now, and more than ever, critical to delivering on that mission and commitment.
We believe AI is a foundational and transformative technology that will deliver compelling and useful benefits to people and society through its ability to assist, integrate, empower and inspire people in nearly every field of human endeavor. It has the potential to help address some of society's most pressing challenges and opportunities, from the everyday to the more creative and imaginative.
As a computer and information technology company, we aim and have been at the forefront of advancing the frontier of AI through our groundbreaking and field-defining research to develop more capable and useful AI. From this research and development, we are bringing real-world breakthrough innovations to help people and benefit society everywhere through our infrastructure, tools, products and services, as well as by enabling and working with others to benefit society. We are also pursuing innovations that will help unlock scientific breakthroughs and address humanity's greatest challenges and opportunities.
