This device is set to be the latest entry-level flagship in the premium smartphone lineup for 2023. It is expected to launch in May 2023, and ahead of its release, whistleblower OnLeaks shared design renders of the phone . These renders reveal that the Pixel 8 will feature an a double camera, but a telephoto sensor, perhaps exclusive to the 8 Pro model, may be missing. An LED flash is located on the outside of the module oval shaped camera on the protruding visor.
The Pixel 8 boasts a more rounded design around the corners, which gives it a different look than the boxy design of its predecessor. This change in design resulted in the Pixel 8 having a smaller display of about 5,8 inches, which lie flat and sport a hole cut out at the top center. OnLeaks has also revealed that the Pixel 8 is smaller than its predecessor, measuring approximately 150,5 x 70,8 x 8,9 mm. Including the thick camera visor, the Pixel 8 measures 12mm.
The frame of the smartphone is curved and has power and volume buttons on the right edge. The antenna lines on the frame suggest your phone will come with one metal chassis. On the bottom edge, users will find a port USB type C with cutouts for the main speaker and microphone.
