It is certainly not news a product belonging to the Xiaomi brand that does not fall into the smartphone category. The Chinese brand has accustomed us for a long time to products of all sorts, from pens to drones, from household appliances to towels, in short if something exists, Xiaomi inserts it into its catalog or invents it. Having said that Xiaomi, but in particular its most famous sub brand, Mijia has launched a market electric stove with a price of 199 yuan, about 26 Euro at the current exchange rate.
Mijia through his Smart Ecosystem integrates smart products aimed at improving users' habits and lifestyle. Mijia Electric OCooker, this is the name of the product, it is made of 304 stainless steel, and is characterized by the modularity of the elements that compose it, thus allowing to exploit various cooking methods, thanks to its separate design. Another interesting feature is the quality of the elements, of retain heat allowing therefore to prepare food for example during lunch hours and have a hot meal at dinner.
The Mijia electric cooker has a modular body and adjustable firepower
Although the ridiculous price may suggest materials poco precious, Mijia Electric OCooker uses aluminum with thickness of 2.0 mm for better heat conduction, naturally with a double layer of non-stick coating and strongly resistant to scratches. At the first use, the company recommends to insert in the element that we want to use, of the simple water to boil and then throw away, in order to clean it afterwards with a simple cloth before starting to prepare their own delicacies. Finally after each use the power plug must be disconnected allowing the Mijia Electric OCooker to cool down for any thorough cleaning.
The elements that make up the set are: glass lid, perforated stainless steel plate for steam cooking (7 eggs power), pot (2 capacity l), cooking pan (400 ml capacity), casserole, measuring spoon with integrated egg-hole (to prevent eggs from bursting during steam cooking) as well as the base of the electric cooker with non-slip bottom able to release one power of 680 W and that integrates a little LED display which provides the information of time and power. All components are wrapped in a layer of anti-scald thermal insulation materialtherefore preparing porridge, stew, eggs, steamed foods, boiled foods and much more will not be a problem even for the most distracted chefs, although perhaps the overall dimensions of the product lend themselves more to a single user.
