Honor, the Chinese smartphone maker, is about to launch its new high-end series, the Honor Magic 6. The new line of devices promises to offer high performance, quality cameras and fast charging. But when will they hit the market? And what will be their main characteristics?
Honor Magic 6 certified on 3C, arriving with 66W charging
According to the latest rumors, the Honor Magic 6 series could be announced very soon. In fact, a new model from Honor, with the serial number BVL-AN00, Was spotted on the 3C website, the Chinese certification body. This would be the standard version of the Honor Magic6, which will use the same charger from 66W that Huawei and Honor have been using since 2020.
The charger, with model numbers HN-110600C00 and HW-110600C02, supports charging at different modes: 10W (5V/2A), 40W (10V/4A) and 66W (11V/6A) as maximum peak. This is a very high charging power, which would allow the smartphone battery to be filled in just a few minutes.
However, some rumors had suggested that the Honor Magic6 series could increase the speed of charging up to 80W, but this may be confidential only to the Pro version, while the standard version would be satisfied with 66W.
In addition to charging, the Honor Magic 6 series will also stand out for its processor, which will be brand new Snapdragon 8 Gen3, Qualcomm's best. It is a chip based on a 4nm production process, which integrates the ultra Cortex-X4 core (with a frequency of 3,3GHz), the Snapdragon X5 75G modem and the latest generation Adreno 750 GPU.
As for cameras, the Honor Magic6 series will give up the sensor from 200MP that had been hypothesized, and will instead adopt the new one 50MP OV160K sensor, with a size of 1/1.3 inches. The front camera will instead be inserted into a double hole on the display, which will resemble that of the iPhone.
Finally, it is also said that the Honor Magic 6 series will support satellite communication, a feature that would allow you to connect to the network even in the absence of a signal.
