Honor, the well-known smartphone and tablet brand, officially presented its new tablet in China Honor Pad 9. This is the successor to the Honor Pad 8, launched last year, which offers several improvements compared to the previous model.
Honor Pad 9 officially announced with 12.1-inch display and Snapdragon 6 Gen 1
The Honor Pad 9 comes one screen from 12.1 inches with symmetrical bezels on all four sides, a resolution of 2.560 x 1.600 pixels, a peak brightness of 550 nits, and an 88 percent screen-to-body ratio. Furthermore, the tablet supports a 120Hz refresh rate, which guarantees greater fluidity in images and animations. The Pad 9 8's display also has a matte finish that resembles paper. Honor claims that its device eliminates 98 percent of reflected light, thus offering a glare-free viewing experience. The tablet is also compatible with a stylus and keyboard, which can be purchased separately.
As for the photographic sector, the Honor Pad 9 has a circular module on the back, which houses a 13MP camera. On the front, however, we find one 8MP camera for selfies and video calls. The device is equipped with eight speakers, which promise excellent sound quality.
In terms of performance, the Honor Pad 9 is powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor, a mid-range chipset that offers good power and low power consumption. The processor is flanked by up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal memory, which can be expanded via a microSD card.
The tablet is equipped with a battery with capacity of 8300mAh and supports the quick charge to 35W. At a software level, the tablet runs with the MagicOS 7.2 operating system, a customized version of Android 13, which offers several exclusive features.
The Honor Pad 9 is available in China in three color variants: Azure, White and Grey. THE prices start from 1499 yuan, around 190 euros, for the version with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal memory. At the moment it is not known whether the tablet will also arrive in other markets, but we hope so, given that it is an interesting and competitive product.
