Honor, the Chinese smartphone brand and sub brand of Huawei, is preparing the launch of a new model of its Play series, dedicated to mid-range devices with good performance and affordable prices.
Honor Play 50 Plus certified: with 6000 mAh battery and 35W charging
It is of 'Honor Play 50 Plus, a device that was recently certified by TENAA, the telecommunications regulator in China, with the code CLK-AN00. According to the blogger Wang Jie, who shared information on Weibo, the Chinese social network, this model would be the enhanced version of the Honor Play 50, presented last September.
The Honor Play 50 Plus would have a design similar to that of theHonor Play 40 Plus, launched in October 2022 at a price of 1199 yuan, about 170 euros. The device would have one 6,75-inch LCD screen with Full HD + resolution (2400 x 1080 pixels), a drop notch to accommodate the front 8 megapixel camera and a side fingerprint reader.
At the back, we would find a double camera with 64 megapixel main sensor e secondary 5 megapixel sensor for macros. The photographic module would have a double ring design, similar to that of the Honor 50, the brand's flagship which mounts a 108 megapixel² camera.
The strong point of the Honor Play 50 Plus would be the battery, which would have one capacity of 6000 mAh, capable of guaranteeing long autonomy even with intensive use of the smartphone. Also, the device would support the quick charge from 35W, higher than the 22,5W of the Honor Play 40.
At the hardware level, the Honor Play 50 Plus would be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor, an octa-core chip with 7nm architecture and support for the 5G. The RAM memory would be available in two variants: 8 GB or 12 GB. The internal storage space would instead be 256 GB or 512 GB, expandable via microSD.
It is not yet known when the Play 50 Plus will be officially presented and at what price it will be sold. However, considering that the previous model was launched at less than 200 euros, this smartphone is also expected to have a very competitive price-performance ratio.
