Thanks to the collaboration with the automobile manufacturer Xiaopeng Motors better known with the Xpeng brand (labeled by many as the Chinese Tesla), Huami will equip its Amazfit smartwatches with the possibility of unlocking the automaker's vehicles, thus transforming the wearable into a sort of virtual key.
In the past, the two companies had collaborated together to communicate Huami devices on the vehicle's infotainment and this time the Amazfit devices will become the access keys to the cars of the Chinese giant. In detail, the mechanism will not differ much from unlocking the locks via NFC, which we have already seen in action on some Amazfit smartwatches as well as on the Xiaomi Mi Band 4 NFC sold in China.
