The history of mobile telephony has seen the protagonist BlackBerry devices, once a status symbol, long before the iPhone. Yet with the advent of Android, the American brand has experienced decidedly dark moments, risking to disappear completely. Instead, as happened for Nokia, the various acquisitions by third companies have always fueled the small flame of the historic brand.
Yet, the separation from TCL, has again thrown hypotheses on the likely farewell of BlackBerry to the tech people, but apparently this is not the case, because today is the news of the return to the track in the smartphone market, thanks to the US company Onward Mobility.
2021 will mark a return in style for BlackBerry with the launch of a new 5G smartphone
In fact, a message has been published on the Onward Mobility website that leaves no room for doubt: 2021 will sanction the rebirth of the BlackBerry brand with the launch of new smartphones that will be able to count on 5G connectivity support. Of course, Onward Mobility being a cybersecurity company, specified that the new smartphones will be "Highly safe" and they will offer one "Suite of end-to-end security solutions".
There will be, as usual, a smartphon model equipped with a physical keyboard, which has made the old terminals so successful in the past. We just have to brush up on our old RIMs in anticipation of the global launch for the revival of BlackBerry.
