Il OnePlus One will receive the update to the recently announced Android L, probably based on CyanogenMod like the current firmware.
The ad came to a post on the official forum, where users were requesting information about a future update to Android L. The company team has informed that the upgrade will surely come, but the times depend on Google. Android L for OnePlus One will be released within three months of the release of the final version by Google.
The forum reads the following:
So a lot - I mean, a lot of people are asking about whether we'll be getting on the Android L train. It was announced while I was asleep and when I got back to work the morning after, there was already a bunch of forum posts and (strangely) customer support requests about it.
Well, we're keen to announce today that the OnePlus One will be getting the L treatment. When, you ask? That depends on Google. We promise to have it done within three months of their release of a final build.
It is possible to believe that the upgrade could come up on the international version of the smartphone, at least initially. If you have the Chinese version of the OnePlus One with the color OS and you want to go to the CyanogenMod here is the guide made by us, to access it just click here!
