It does so with two new products, indeed to be honest one of the two already has a month on his shoulders and you may have already read the news. We are talking about the Xiaomi HHCC Flora Monitor smart vase, which is compatible with the Mi Home app for its smart functions. But let's first get to know it, because at first glance HHCC Flora Monitor might seem like a simple flowerpot made of ABS plastic, with an elegant and sober look to the point of being combined with any environment, indoor or outdoor.
In dowry we have an IPX6 certification as well as anti-corrosion but the smart functions that make it interesting are those that allow the gadget to monitor the water and fertilizer used, using a LED positioned on the top of the pot, which lights up with a different color in based on the analyzed situation and therefore the state of need of the plant. Through the companion app we could also better analyze the level of the elements of the monitored plant in the pot.
Probably in this way we could always keep our little green creature under control, for sure at least for 60 continuous days, battery life integrated in the smart vase, a 350 mAh unit. Well, let's come to today's second gadget dedicated to users who have a green thumb, but actually to everyone since the usefulness of these two smart pots also serves to extend the life of our plants and / or flowers. So it is still a smart vase, this time produced by the ONEMI brand and which is proposed with more generous dimensions, equal to 400 x 190 x 160 mm, also made of ABS plastic with very high impact resistance as well as enjoying a treatment against yellowing due to time.
Also for this ONEMI pot the companion app Mi Home comes into play, from which we could obtain in-depth analyzes on the state of the soil, the nutrients present and the humidity level, but we can also know real-time statistics about the growth of the planted vegetable, also setting a sort of reminder on the possible harvesting period of what is planted. The app will also remind us of the cycles of the plant, relating for example to fertilizer and watering.
Everything happens through a WiFi connection that will allow the data to be sent to our smartphone. But the ONEMI vase is really smart as it also allows you to take advantage of a small automatic irrigation system, thanks to a 2-liter tank, which through a special valve will moisten the soil from the inside, every time the system detects that elements need it.
This for sure will make fruit and flowers bloom even in black thumbs like mine, which can make even fake plants "die". In any case, Xiaomi offers the new ONOMI smart on its Youpin crowdfunding, at the price of 399 yuan, equal to about 51 euros at the current exchange rate.
