Jimmy JV53 Lite review: when “Lite” doesn't mean worse!

Today the company wanted to put itself to the test with a basic model, a reinterpretation of their best seller JV53. Therefore, inside the package there are only 3 accessories supplied, such as a stand for positioning the electric broom when not in use, to be fixed to the wall by means of fischer screws, which also allows the positioning of the remaining two accessories, or two nozzle nozzles, to one with a narrow spout to be used in the collection of dirt between the crevices of the sofas, or between the narrowest corners between the wall and the floor, and finally another with a wider mouth to collect the coarser dirt and / or in any case be used on armchairs and fabrics in general.
Both lances integrate soft bristles on their body which can be used if necessary by acting on the small lever mechanism integrated in the accessory. Stop, nothing if not the tube extension made of brushed aluminum in blue color and the motorized brush for floors with soft roller.
In reality, the envelope is completed with an envelope containing multilingual manuals, including the Italian, the charger with European socket and proprietary connection with 25V-0.6A (15W) output as well as of course the motor body.
As for the finishes and the construction in general, to be honest the feeling is not so premium, but the company inserts small finishes with a reference to carbon fiber that give a slightly more positive feeling than the cheap of the plastics used. In addition, having used a prevalence of ABS material actually makes this Jimmy JV53 Lite very light and easy to handle, returning a weight of the engine body of 1,46 kg only. Moreover, the handle is truly ergonomic allowing us a real slalom during cleaning without weighing on the wrist, also thanks to the articulated joint of the motorized floor brush.
A further benefit to comfort is given by the trigger for operating the electric broom, as it will be enough to be pressed once and released, to obtain a continuous cleaning mode. The power instead is selected by means of a button in the upper terminal part of the engine.
Yeah the suction power, the main feature of each vacuum cleaner and in the case of Jimmy JV53 Lite is expressed by means of a 425W brushless motor that allows a maximum of 100.000 rpm relative to the brush, with a maximum input of 125 Suction AirWatt equal to 20.000 Pa.
All the dirt collected accumulates inside a 0,5L tank which also integrates a Dual Cyclonic filter with 99% efficiency against dust and bacteria, filtering the most microscopic particles up to 0,3 microns. This cyclonic filter is also accompanied by a HEPA filter, positioned in the upper part of the tank but the thing that makes me crazy with love about the whole series of cleaning products by Jimmy, is the possibility of being able to disassemble, reassemble and wash every accessory, filter included, for greater hygiene and maintenance. Finally, the actual emptying of the tank takes place with a simple gesture, by pulling the small lower lever on the cap or by means of a red push button located above, which will allow you to completely unscrew the container from its seat.
For this Lite version of the JV53 model, the company has also saved a little bit in terms of battery, using a 6 mAh 2500-cell unit that recharges in about 4,5 hours, allowing an autonomy of up to 40 minutes maximum. minimum suction level, while in Turbo mode the working time decreases to a maximum of 10 minutes. Oh yes, the operation modes are only 2, precisely the Turbo for really stubborn dirt and a sort of mix between Eco and Medium mode of the other protagonists of Jimmy's line up, still allowing you to collect all the dirt, even the coarsest one. with good efficiency. It should not be underestimated that the battery unit is removable.
Of course perhaps, this solution does not go perfectly with those who have many animals at home and daily fights with hair everywhere, but for many users this Jimmy JV53 Lite could be the perfect and above all economic solution to their needs, obtaining surface cleaning fairly thorough on most surfaces, even on hard-textured rugs. Finally, a rather low noise level, equal to 75 dB peak, which translates into reduced noise towards the neighbors and also to our animals.
