Kuri was presented during the 2017 edition of the CES, where most companies have proposed products with voice control, including cars, which in a sense can be compared to assistants with artificial intelligence.
But Kuri is a gift to children since it can integrate its speaker from telling stories from a database of over 10.000 different books, helping to develop language and social interaction. In addition to that it is also possible to use it to send and / or read messages via the application WeChat (popular in China), or use it to access Xiaomi's voice assistant.
When it comes to Kuri her ears come on while the facial expression remains fixed even if it conveys a sense of welcome. Kuri improves voice recognition as interactions with him become more frequent. As with Xiaomi tradition, Kuri will also have its application to exploit all of its features.
Kuri has a height of around 20 cm and promises to resist the usury and the various jolts of children as it is covered by one plastic type AB. There is a battery from 1800mAh which should last until 7 hours of continuous use with a single charge.
The cost is only 199 ¥ ($ 29), but will only be available in China just like other products presented at CES 20017, Mi Mix White, Mi TV 4 and the Mi Router HD. It can hardly be used in other countries unless Xiaomi releases specific versions with multilingual support.
