It has been since poco presented the top of the range OnePlus 7 Pro, which raises the bar also in the price, albeit partially justified by the excellent specifications and performance. Yet someone has decided to compare the photographic sector of Pete Lau's flagship with the now "old man" POCOPHONE F1, smartphone made in Xiaomi that silenced all rivals last year by presenting itself on the market with top-of-the-range hardware specifications but low cost price.
And this is exactly what the Indian colleagues of the Beebom portal focus on, comparing the cameras of POCOPHONE F1 and OnePlus 7 Pro on which DxOMark has expressed a remarkable positive opinion. But is it reliable or do we find ourselves as with Xiaomi Mi 9, praised by the experts of the DxoMark laboratory with a score of 111 and then instead disappointing in practice?

The test performed by Beebom exploits the stock camera application of both models by shooting in fully automatic mode, ie as most of a common user would do. What emerges is mainly that the algort of OnePlus 7 Pro tends to saturate a hair too many colors but above all that on the human face the imperfections of the skin are hidden, a sort of beauty mode, giving back (in the example) the more fuzzy beard details and an almost ceramic skin effect, in other words fake.
Of course, a photo is not enough to draw conclusions but it is also true that OnePlus 7 Pro costs almost three times as much as the least expensive POCOPHONE F1. Now, given the not-so-positive relations between OnePlus fan boys and Mi Fans (the real ones), I don't want to ignite any controversy about Pete Lau's brand, even if you know very well what I think about the devices proposed by this brand, but it must be admitted that this year more than the others the company has pushed a lot on marketing, taking advantage of the trend of Youtube and Instagram influencers, who have all casually expressed positive opinions.
