Lenovo Xiaoxin Pro 16 official 2021 in China: three variants starting at 5499 yuan (700 €)

Tech giant Lenovo just held its spring conference presenting the new YOGA × Xiaoxin series products. At the conference, the company unveiled three new Xiaoxin series notebooks, namely the Xiaoxin Pro 16 2021, Xiaoxin Air 14 Plus 2021 and Xiaoxin Air 15.

Lenovo Xiaoxin Pro 16 2021

In this post we are going to see the Lenovo Xiaoxin Pro 16 2021, which will be sold in three different versions. There is a standard Ryzen version, a Ryzen exclusive version, and an Intel Core exclusive version.

Going into particular, the Lenovo Xiaoxin Pro 16 2021 is powered by an AMD Ryzen R7 5800H processor paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Together with the CPU we also find a Radeon graphics processor with a maximum refresh rate of 60Hz.

The Lenovo Xiaoxin Pro 16 2021 will be sold in China at a price of 5499 yuan, about 700 euros, although in advance it can be purchased for 4999 yuan, about 640 €.

Let's now move on to the Lenovo Xiaoxin Pro 16 2021 Ryzen Exclusive Edition, which is powered by an AMD Ryzen R5 5600H processor with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. There is also a high-end version that integrates a more performing processor, the Ryzen R7 5800H, which adopts a more improved graphics processor. There is however a dedicated GPU, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 which supports a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Lenovo Xiaoxin Pro 16 2021 Ryzen Exclusive Edition will be available in the Asian country at the retail price of 6099 yuan, 780 €, (5599 yuan, 720 €, on special offer) for the variant with Ryzen R5 5600H. The model with Ryzen R7 5800H processor will instead cost 6499 yuan (830 €), but discounted will cost 5999 yuan (760 €).

Finally, we have the new Lenovo Xiaoxin Pro 16 powered by an Intel Core CPU, which is a Core i5-11300H paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. This model integrates an NVIDIA GeForce MX450 video card, then a low-end laptop card and supports a 60Hz screen refresh rate.

For the price, the Lenovo Xiaoxin Pro 16 Intel Core Edition will retail for 6299 yuan (€ 800) or 5799 yuan (€ 740) when purchased in the early promotional phase.

As for the features in common, the Lenovo Xiaoxin Pro 16 is clearly equipped with a matte-type 16-inch screen with narrow bezels and a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels. The screen ratio is 16:10 while the brightness reaches 350 nits. The display also supports a 100% high sRGB color gamut, has TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light + Eyesafe certifications, and supports flicker-free DC dimming technology.

The Xiaoxin Pro 16 series comes with an ultra-light metal body, weighing just 1,89kg and only 16,9mm thick. Then we find a large keyboard with arrow keys, an independent numeric keypad and a three-intensity backlight adjustment. While the audio is provided by a dual speaker system that supports Dolby Atmos technology.

All Lenovo Xiaoxin Pro 16s are powered by a 75Wh high capacity battery that supports unspecified fast charging. What we do know though is that laptops come standard with a 95W high-energy PD adapter

As for the ports, the laptops adopts a USB Type-C port which supports PD charging standard and data transmission, two USB 3.2 ports, a two-in-one 3,5mm audio jack, Wi-Fi wireless network card. High-speed Fi 6, a standard SD card reader, and a full-sized HDMI port.

Finally, the Lenovo Xiaoxin Pro 16 series runs with the Microsoft Windows 10 operating system on board and also supports security features such as facial recognition and automatic screen lock when walking. The laptops can be booked in China starting today, April 23, 2021, while the actual sales will begin on May XNUMX.
