LG closes the smartphone sector, but communicates the update policy

LG has just announced that it will close its smartphone business this year. After periods of uncertainty in which various investors have come under, the decision is official. While no firm or specific promises have been made, the Korean company claims that will not completely abandon its current smartphones. We read in fact:

The current inventory of LG smartphones will continue to be available for sale. The company will provide support and software updates for customers of existing mobile products for a period of time that varies by region. LG will work in partnership with suppliers and business partners throughout the closure of the mobile phone business. Employment details will be determined locally.

First of all, will continue as planned with the launch of Android 11 which however will take some timeAt the end of this release, however, some devices will receive the ok to update to Android 12. Which? The company doesn't specify models, but it goes without saying that the list is limited to flagship devices like LG Velvet, V60 e Wing.
