LG launches an ultra slim and also completely wireless Smart TV

Every time I buy a product such as a household appliance, a television or something that plugs into the current to work, the first thing I think is "These cables are breaking!". Well, that means I'll have to get myself this LG Smart TV in the future, since it's designed to work (almost) without wiring. The novelty was presented yesterday and is called LG Signature.

While LG's Smart TV isn't quite completely wireless, the company is looking to eliminate wires and copper from its products

LG has unveiled a new flagship TV series Signature M-series, which positions itself as “the world's first wireless OLED model”. There really aren't any interface ports on the TV case though, however, the Korean seller still hasn't managed to completely ditch the cables. A feature of the LG Signature Smart TV is the 97″ OLED screen with a resolution of 4K. But most interesting is a remote module that transmits images and sound to the TV over the air at a distance of up to 9 meters. This device has three HDMI ports (4K at 120Hz), two USB Type-A ports and an antenna input, as well as a LAN connector. In essence, the LG Smart TV is a monitor that ALSO works as a TV. Quite the contrary.

The company ensures that the transmission to the display is almost instantaneous and a special data transmission algorithm prevents disconnections when someone switches between the display and the transmitter. LG has not yet disclosed the official connection speed and latency values. LG Signature TV, according to the seller, will provide users with more freedom in placing a huge screen in the house. It just needs to be plugged into a power outlet, without worrying about the hidden or simply problematic laying of many other cables. The launch date and price of the LG Signature OLED M Series are yet to be announced.
