Xiaomi is ready to launch its new smartphone in its entry-level Redmi series on June 12, organizing a launch event for the new Xiaomi Redmi 6.
Just today the president of Xioami, Lin Bin, shared a poster showing the front of the new Xioami model, giving us an idea of what it will look like. However, the published image is very similar to the one recently appeared on TENAA, which is said to be of the Redmi 6A.
Contrary to previous rumors, the poster reveals that the smartphone will be equipped with a full screen display without the presence of the much disputed notch that now almost all manufacturers are installing on their smartphones.
However the display is surrounded by fairly thick edges and, referring to a TENAA listing of a phone with the same design, the smartphone will have a 5,45-inch HD + display with a screen resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels and a ratio of 18: 9.
In addition, the photo reveals that the smartphone will have a single front camera also equipped with a flash to get even better selfies. The volume and power buttons are located on the right side of the phone, most likely will also be provided with a fingerprint reader located on the back panel and also the Face Unlock function.
The previous Xiaomi Redmi 6 poster had already suggested the adoption of MediaTek's Helio P22 processor. The chipset is equipped with eight Cortex A53 cores with 2.0GHz and the company claims it is one of the first chip makers to bring the processors to 12nm in that band of smartphones. The Helio P22 also comes with Mediatek's Neuropilot technology that supports TensorFlow, TF Lite, Caffe and Caffe2.
It is also expected the presence of two rear cameras positioned horizontally together with an LED flash in the upper left corner. The phone will run the Android 8.1 Oreo operating system, probably with the just announced MIUI 10.
It is assumed that Xiaomi will present the Redmi 6A and Redmi 6 Pro / Plus smartphones along with the Redmi 6 12 June.
