The market for flagship processors for smartphones has only one goal: to see the most powerful SoC coming out every 6 months. And the battle to the death always takes place between the usual two giants: MediaTek e Qualcomm. But if until a few years ago the second company always had the upper hand, in more recent times the situation has changed. In the future we will talk about the Dimensity 9200 as the most powerful smartphone processor.
The MediaTek Dimensity 9200 benchmarks are absurd. Very high scores, numbers that not even the best Snapdragon has ever done to date
The first benchmark test of the promising processor MediaTek Dimensity 9200 in AnTuTu appeared on the Web. The image with the results was published by the well-known insider Digital Chat Station. Judging by the name of the device (alps k6985v1_64), this appears to be a sort of smartphone prototype made by MediaTek itself. Such a product looks a lot like a prehistoric smartphone: there is a screen, a battery and an SoC with memory, and all you need is for debugging.
The MediaTek Dimensity 9200 SoC got it 1.266.102 points, about 200.000 points higher than Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and, consequently, about 150.000 points higher than Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1. Of course, the promising Snapdragon 8 Gen2 it will be faster than its predecessors, but judging by the test in question not that much. So, maybe MediaTek will keep the title of the most powerful SoC company for a smartphone?
Nothing is certain yet. Surely Qualcomm will invent "fake cards" (with lots of quotes) to beat this record made by the MediaTek Dimensity 9200.
