MediaTek Helio G95 is the new processor for "poor" gamers

Of course the title is provocative, because perhaps MediaTek was once thought of as a manufacturer of low-cost processors but with poor performance, while it has already been a good year that the tech company has been churning out solutions that remain faithful to the low cost of the past but they offer top-notch performance.

So here comes the new MediaTek Helio G95, a promising processor that lends itself to mobile video games. On balance we are faced with an enhanced version of the Helio G90T appreciated on the Redmi Note 8 Pro, greatly optimizing the performance in terms of graphics. We have a 12nm production process, with octa-core ARM Cortex A76 and A55 structure, the same as the previous generation and unfortunately no 5G support is provided.

Poco bad, because to benefit from it is the price without giving up the true essence of the SoC, that is to bring the gaming experience to the highest levels with the minimum expense. Two cores are Cortex-A76 type and reach a maximum clock speed of 2,05 GHz, in more stressful tasks while the rest of the six cores are low-power Cortex-A55 clocked at 2.0 GHz for basic tasks. According to AnTuTu tests, this CPU offers 5% more performance than the Helio G90T, despite sharing the same structure.

What gives the extra gear is the GPU, which goes from a speed of 800 MHz to 900 MHz, despite the same hardware base being maintained, namely a Mali-G76 MC4, offering an 8% plus graphics performance. Otherwise, the Helio G95 offers no other great improvements.

However, the new MediaTek Helio G95 supports up to 10 GB of LPDDR4x RAM, as well as UFS 2.1 or eMMC 5.1 memories. The GPU instead offers support for refresh rates up to 90 Hz, ideal for an optimal gaming experience base.

All this leads us to think that the future Realme 7/7 Pro could be the first to equip the MediaTek Helio G95. Well we just have to find out soon, considering the launch of the two devices for September 3 in India.

Nerd, Geek, Netizen, terms that do not belong to me. Simply myself, technology lover and provocative as Xiaomi does with his products. High quality at fair prices, a real provocation for the other most famous brands.
