Initially, as we had seen, they should have been called POP 3 but evidently the brand has opted for a name that would make understand the quality of these earphones. Mella morning today Meizu officially presented its Meizu POP Pro, the first proprietary true wireless headphones that can enjoy the active noise cancellation. But before we see this feature, let's see the rest. In the images we see what the refill box is: the company has opted for a minimal design and its shape is rectangular and not oval as expected. This allows portability without a doubt. As anticipated, one of the distinctive features of these headphones is the size of each earphone.
Their design is typical of in-ear headphones and is very reminiscent of the latest model of Apple's AirPods. As for features we have touch controls on each headset to activate certain features. Among these the function ANC through a extended tap of 2 seconds. Do not miss the IPX5 certification for complete protection against dust and accidental water splashes. The company does not guarantee water resistance as it is not IP68 certified.
As for its main feature, the company itself admits that Meizu POP Pro can reduce external sound by up to 35 dB. Therefore it will not be difficult to hear music and conversations in noisy environments such as the subway and busy streets.
They obviously come with a companion app. When the box is opened, the display of the headphones on the smartphone is immediate via AirPods style bubble. In terms of configuration these earphones come with a 10mm voice coil that allows you to listen to enhanced bass and very low frequencies. This is also thanks to tuning phase allowed by the proprietary application.
Let's talk about autonomy: a refill of the box allows theuse of headphones up to 6.5 hours with standard use; if used with the feature ANC then we arrive at 4 hours. The box allows to be recharged for a maximum of 20 hours of use.
A curiosity: at the moment of the order (price 499 yuan, approx 60 €) the brand gives the possibility to screen print the headphones.
