Mi Pad 5: first (unofficial) images of the next Xiaomi tablet

Yes, it is true, days ago we told you that no Mi Pad 5 will be released this year and that's why we start the article by saying that the images we are going to show you are in no way official. Indeed, as confirmed by the leaker Digital Chat Station, theheir of the Mi Pad 4 will not see its birth during 2020 and the reasons are different. Some users on the Chinese social network Weibo, however, are reporting images (clearly unofficial) of what could be next Mi Pad 5. These are renders, as mentioned, and can also be seen from some detail that is not in line with the design of the previous models.

Mi Pad 5: first (unofficial) images of the next Xiaomi tablet

Taking it very far, we know that the tablet market has not been very thriving during the last few years and this could be the main reason why Xiaomi has decided to slow down (and not to poco) the production of this series. We remember that Xiaomi has released Mi Pad 4 and Mi Pad 4 Plus way back in 2018. Both devices are equipped with a display IPS LCD and are moved by Android 8.1 Oreo.

In the case of Mi Pad 5, we don't know when it will come out, nor what hardware specifications it will have, let alone if it will be "out of the box" with Android 10, the latest release of the operating system. On the basis of these photographs, we can see how I imagined it: the shape is increasingly taking up what is the Apple tablet, but those who know this type of Xiaomi devices will immediately grasp a detail. The edges (lower and upper) are reduced to the bone compared to the previous model, making sure that the front panel is larger a few centimeters in both directions.

Another difference, this time on the back side, lies in the camera: move on from a single sensor to a traffic light that houses two cameras, at the center of which is placed a flash led. Clear that it will not be a device devoted to photography, but without a doubt (if it really is) it will mark a step forward compared to before. A detail that makes it clear unofficial of these images it is the rear logo, placed on the long side instead of the short one. We know that both on the Mi series smartphones, and on the brand tablets, the MI logo is located on the bottom of the device.

What do you think about it? Would you like if the next Mi Pad 5 were like this?
