Microsoft launches AI versions Edge and Bing thanks to ChatGPT

There is no doubt that artificial intelligence will increasingly enter our daily lives. Big companies have been moving in this direction since Chat GPT debuted globally. Microsoft is among these but unlike Google, which has only announced Bard, has effectively launched an AI service tied to its two browsers. This is obviously the chatbot linked to Bing e Edge. Let's go see the details.

Google, move! Microsoft launches AI versions of Edge Browser and Bing Search Engine. All thanks to the integration with ChatGPT

As soon as Google announced its response to ChatGPT, Microsoft jumped in. Unlike the competitor, it promised nothing but immediately launched the Updated Edge browser and modified Bing search engine with OpenAI ChatGPT chat bot features. The company has already told how new technologies will change users' lives, and has launched open tests of the proprietary AI algorithm. Of course, it's not for everyone. The Microsoft search engine updated with ChatGPT is trained on the language model Prometheus. It is based on GPT 3.5 and offers, according to the developers, more features than the ChatGPT bot algorithm. Its main advantage is the most relevant results.

The company claims to have succeeded in implementing a new type of internet search. Now, the chatbot can offer ready-made output in one dialog based on the request made by the user. For example, if you enter the phrase "Write me the code to find the Fibonacci sequence in Python” in the Bing search bar, the corresponding information will be displayed in a small window right on the Bing homepage. If the user is looking for a new TV, even a non-standard question like “Which TV under €200 is best placed between the wall and a piece of furniture of 1 mt? ”. The response will be a list of relevant models, without the traditional mountain of links being published.

The new ChatGPT artificial intelligence has also been integrated into Microsoft Edge. Through a "conversation" with the chatbot, the browser can be asked to process various types of information, such as examining the financial statement opened in the current tab, highlighting key indicators, comparing them with previous year's results and showing the user the analysis results finished.

Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, said:

Artificial intelligence will revolutionize all kinds of software, starting with the largest category, search. Today we're launching AI-enabled Bing and Edge to help people get more out of search and the web

After the presentation of Microsoft, Google has planned a live on YouTube, where its representatives will address the same topics: artificial intelligence, browsers and search. The company announced this event even before the presentation of Microsoft. Perhaps the latter deliberately overtook Google in order to show its results before the competitor's presentation. As we said, however, the service on Microsoft Edge and Bing is not available to everyone. You can join the waiting list for the new version of Bing and see examples of his work on search engine website .
