The mysterious Xiaomi Mi A1 could be the first Xiaomi without MIUI

As we've shown you a few days ago, Xiaomi is planning to launch a mysterious device named Xiaomi Mi A1. We do not know anything about this device, except the code name that would bring it to what it is Xiaomi Mi 5X.

Maybe you do not know, but 2014 is running a project of development by Google and other named business partners Android One. This project aims to spread the Android operating system in emerging markets by launching low-cost devices, obviously equipped with Google Android.

The program has never taken part Xiaomi, despite the company has aimed to spread many mid-range models in those emerging countries that Google looks interested.

We do not forget the incredible success that Redmi Note 3, first, and Note Reds 4 and 4X, after, they reached India!

What did we find out?

First of all, as you will know, it is Xiaomi Mi 5X it has not yet been submitted to other countries outside China, which is normally the case with new Xiaomi devices. The company is not new to presenting its devices in India specifically: see Redmi Notes 4X to believe.

Through the POSTEL online platform, however, we discovered one technical of Xiaomi Mi 5X, according to which Lei Jun's latest smartphone might have a non-customized software and absolutely stock for a first launch in the Middle East.

As you can read, in fact, the phone would feature a software developed by Google with specific features that characterize the Android One project of the Californian company.

So what does the Xiaomi Mi A1 have to do with it?

Well, let's go to the principe. Exactly as mentioned a few days ago, the Xiaomi Mi A1 has a code name that approaches it very much to that of Mi 5X, which would mean that Mi A1 could be a stock variant of Mi 5X specially designed for an ad hoc launch.

Put simply, Xiaomi Mi A1 can really be the first Xiaomi who will not mount MIUI but a stock version of Android. And if we consider that the last rumors talk about it August 21th - today - as Google's Android O (Oreo?) Day, the imagination runs fast and it makes us dream that the first smartphone with Android O might be a Xiaomi.

Earlier this year, Google had announced that it would like to bring its Android One project to the United States around the middle of the year, with mid-range smartphones (200 $ / 300 $). And if Xiaomi seized this double opportunity by launching the first smartphone with Android Stock right in the United States ?!

Let us know what you think, and if you're really happy to abandon the MIUI for an Android Stock system on your Xiaomi!

Great for Xiaomi and to be known more and more but… without MIUI, what Xiaomi is it?

I thought exactly like this .. then some updates have drastically reduced the autonomy of some Xiaomi. It's good to experience different ROMs on great phones
