Me too, I have Redmi 5 and in the notification shade instead of the shortcut for the settings there is a magnifying glass that does absolutely nothing
Edit: I just checked in the settings, under Notifications and Status Bar we find Notification Shade shortcut and makes you choose whether search, which does not work for me, or settings.
