MIUI 9 back in the spotlight, this time we're talking about beta testing.
Xiaomi has reportedly recruited a huge amount of beta testers, the number would be above one million, which has never happened before in the company.
Precisely the testers would be around 1.56 million people, astronomical figures for the Chinese company, if we consider that the program has been open for just 2 weeks.
The first models that will get the closed beta will be:
- My 6
- Red Mi Note 4x (snapdragon version)
- Mi 5x (recently launched with ROM already on board)
- Mi 5 (scheduled for August 7)
- For the other models we will have to wait until mid-August
The news of the success of the new MIUI 9 however, it shouldn't surprise anyone since Xiaomi has done a really good job, inserting new and interesting features and eliminating the useless and superficial ones. This has meant that the ROM is snappy and fluid.
The Chinese company has always given great importance to the community and right now it is reaping the benefits, pulling out of its hat a product that will be the envy of the other BIGs in the sector.
Could this be the magic formula that is making Xiaomi climb the peaks of the market (even European)?
A pairing of well-made products at affordable prices and a community to make the biggest competitors envy.

We must also take into account that this test is ONLY valid for the Chinese ROM, so we expect an even greater number of testers for the global ROM.
