A greeting to everyone and a good return from the Easter holidays, today we are here to let you know that the trial period for the new Miui rom is already underway on a new Android platform, which is true: Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
A few days ago, through an article here on Smarty, we had informed you that Xiaomi was looking for 50 beta tester for the new Miui base, and I was a candidate for this post. Well, I was chosen and given the opportunity, together with other 57 people, to be able to preview KitKat on my Xiaomi Mi3 WCDMA.
Still the rom is obviously full of bugs but it is possible, though hard, to complete the day without any particular annoyance.
It is known in the beta team the bug of the Play Store that struggles to remain open and that goes into force close after a few seconds of use, while the phone dialer has been improved and the opening speed is now instantaneous.
We hope that the test period will not last long (we hope the bugs will drop to zero) so that Xiaomi can share the new "chocolate" base for its devices.

LIST BUG:
- Google Play is not working (as if there was no network for the connection, and continues to give the message "try again"
- Often, the Miui Mail application freezes and you have to wait a few seconds to reuse it
- Autofocus seems to be back at Mi2S's time, failing to focus instantly or even touch to focus
- The battery drops much faster the percentage, surely this is due to some application that hangs in the background
