A couple of days ago Motorola confirmed that it will launch the Moto G100 on March 25th. The smartphone will be the first Moto G series device with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 series CPU and therefore is already highly anticipated.
Motorola Moto G100: the price leaks one week after the presentation
Well, today a European retailer would have "mistakenly" leaked the price of the smartphone a week in advance. The retailer in question is based in Spain and is called “ParatuPc”. On the ParatuPc website we can see the device in the variant of 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory in blue with a price of € 479,77.
However, the page does not mention the official name of the device, but uses the model number XT2125 ,.
Recall that the Moto G100 is expected to be a rebrand of the Motorola Edge S launched in China at the end of January. The specs should therefore not vary, but what certainly appears to vary is the price.
The Motorola Edge S was in fact launched in China at a price of 2399 yuan, about 308 euros at the exchange rate. While as mentioned above, the Spanish retailer is priced at € 479,77, this is an increase of € 172.
Unfortunately, we Europeans are used to exaggerated price increases, and Motorola's next flagship does not seem to be an exception.
