Netflix cuts prices by up to 50%, even in Europe

However, as revealed, Netflix has implemented a price reduction of up to 50% in some countries of the world. Unfortunately, Italy is not included.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Netflix has cut up to 50% monthly rates in more than 30 countries around the world. Among the countries with the reduced prices are: Jordan, Libya, Iran, Kenya, Nicaragua, Ecuador, Venezuela, Bosnia, Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Serbia, Albania, North Macedonia and Slovakia. Digging a little deeper, the countries in question saw the following price change:

  • basic plan: from €7,99 to €4,99
  • standard plan: from €9,99 to €7,99
  • Premium plan: from €11,99 to €9,99

In this way, the measure tends to be a Netflix strategy for keep their subscribers, since the competition has applied much more attractive prices. Many, in fact, following the previous price increase, have decided to turn to other platforms even if the catalog of streaming products is lower. Whether this strategy will be remains to be seen winning.
