Unlike in other markets, copying a particular product and reselling it under one's own name is not seen as a fraud against the user in China. Furthermore, Chinese manufacturers seem to be very fond of the “Pro” wording for their smartphones. Xiaomi in particular presented several smartphones with this suffix but, in the past few hours, we realized that the manufacturer Little Pepper (unknown to most, including us) presented a new smartphone called Little Pepper Note 3 Pro. Now, we know that fans may never be confused but we are confident that with a good advertising campaign this maker could steal some of the market share at the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro.
In the past, the familiarity of the names has meant that some services must necessarily change their own. For example, we remember Microsoft's SkyDrive, which, due to its familiarity with the Sky satellite, had to change its name to OneDrive or XBMC which, due to its familiarity with Xbox, had to change its name to Kodi.
In China, these speeches are a little more unusual, as we said earlier. However, to distinguish the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro from this new Little Pepper Note 3 Pro, just take a look at the data sheet, since the latter of Pro has only the name:
- Display from 5,5 HD Inch;
- SoC Mediatek MT6753 with octa core CPU from 1,3 GHz;
- 3 GB of RAM memory;
- 32 GB of internal storage;
- 13 MP camera rear camera;
- Front 5 MP Camera;
- Battery pack from 2800 mAh.
Another method to verify that this is actually the device manufactured by Xiaomi is to take a look at the rear camera positioning. On the Redmi Notes 3 Pro is just above the fingerprint sensor, while it is moved to the side.
There should be no problem with the most important importers but, in any case, keep the first warning in mind if you decide to buy a Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro.
