Qualcomm has just announced the official launch of the new Snapdragon 732G, which is an updated version of last year's Snapdragon 730G. CPU and GPU frequencies have both increased, similar to what we saw with the Snapdragon 765G and Snapdragon 768G.
Official Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G, slight upgrade from SD 732G
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G adopts two Kryo 470 cores and six small Kryo 470 cores. The frequency of the former has been increased from 2,2 GHz to 2,3 GHz and the latter remains at 1,8 GHz.
For the GPU side we still find an Adreno 618, which according to the official press release brings performance increased by 15%, even if the specific frequency has not been disclosed.
In other respects, the Snapdragon 732G still adopts all the specifications of the Snapdragon 730G: manufacturing process Samsung 8nm LPP, Hexagon 688 DSP, Spectra 350 ISP (supports single 36 megapixel camera or dual 22 megapixel camera) and 2 × 16 bit RAM LPDDR4X-1866.
We also remind you that it is a 4G SoC, which integrates the Snapdragon X15 LTE 4G baseband, supports up to LTE Cat.15 / 13 and has a maximum download speed of 800 Mbps (aggregation of three carriers) and an upload speed maximum of 150 Mbps (dual carrier aggregation).
Finally, as we just learned about XiaomiToday, the new chipset will be equipped on the next POCO X3.
