Official OnePlus 11 with Snapdragon 8 Gen2 and 2K LTPO 3.0 screen

As scheduled, the new OnePlus 11 was presented today. The OnePlus flagship integrates the best hardware around together with never-before-seen software features; let's go find out together!

Official OnePlus 11 with Snapdragon 8 Gen2 and 2K LTPO 3.0 screen

Let's start with the tech specs of the display, a slightly curved 2″ Samsung 6,7K panel that supports a 120Hz refresh rate, has a limiting touch sampling rate of 1000Hz, a regular brightness of 500 nits, a local peak of 1300 nits, supports 10-bit color depth, and supports HDR10+.

At the same time, the OnePlus 11 launched LTPO 3.0 technology, bringing three evolutions and improvements.

These include the ability to switch frames with motion. The frame rate will follow the acceleration and deceleration of your finger tap and animation to achieve frame change with movement. At the same time, the power consumption is reduced by more than 5%, so it is smoother and more energy-saving.

The second upgrade concerns the refresh rate. The device's screen frequency can instantly ramp up and down, with a zero-delay conversion from 1Hz-120Hz, 120Hz-1Hz in just 75ms, which increases battery life by approximately 1,68 hours.

Finally, the third software improvement concerns the frame rate which can be adjusted to accurately match the currently displayed screen content. This feature breaks application restrictions and judges directly from screen content, making programming smarter.

This was all made possible through close collaboration with Unity Technologies for their Unity graphics engine.

Staying on the gaming theme, the OnePlus 11 has launched a new cloud acceleration private network technology in gaming.

According to OnePlus, when connected to Wi-Fi, the OnePlus 11 will activate the cellular network and perform nanosecond-level data fusion to improve network quality. When there is only one cellular network, the fastest operator network channel is automatically selected. When the network is congested or the signal is poor, the game data will be transmitted through the dedicated channel and server established by OnePlus.

As for the actual effect of this technology, according to OnePlus data, in the 30-minute game test, the number of high network delays in a weak network environment can be reduced up to 99,43%, and the number of game delays in a congested network environment is reduced by 82,75%.

Also, this technology is expensive because it has to work with carriers to establish a dedicated network channel, but OnePlus promises that all OnePlus 11 users will be able to use this service for free for two years.

As for the other specifications, the OnePlus 11 is equipped with the second generation Snapdragon 8 chip with 4nm manufacturing process from TSMC. Compared to the first generation Snapdragon 8, CPU performance has improved by 35% and energy efficiency has increased by 40%. GPU performance is increased by 25% and power efficiency is improved by 45%.

At the same time, the smartphone comes with the new LPDDR5X RAM with a speed of up to 8533Mbps and UFS 4.0 type flash memory, with a reading speed of up to 4200Mbps.

As for photos, the OnePlus 11 continues the tradition of high specifications, it is equipped with three 50-megapixel cameras, of which the main camera is the 890-megapixel Sony IMX50 sensor, which supports OIS optical image stabilization; the portrait photography lens is Sony's 709-megapixel Sony IMX32 with a golden vertical focal length of 46mm adopting RGBW arrangement, and the amount of light input is increased by 416%; the latest is the 581 megapixel super wide angle Sony IMX48, which has a 150° super wide angle.

In terms of charging and battery life, the OnePlus 11 has a built-in 5000mAh battery and is equipped with 100W super flash charging, which can reach 100% in 25 minutes.

The OnePlus 11 has a starting price of 3999 yuan (550 euros) for the 12GB/256GB version.
