The long-awaited and talked-about OnePlus 8 series was finally presented today. The two smartphones arrive with all the specifications that we had previously seen, so no surprises. Having said that, however, these are two really interesting flagships; let's find out more!
Official OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro: Specifications and prices
We start as always with the display, which on the OnePlus 8 base is 6,5 inches diagonal and AMOLED type. We also have a resolution of 2400 × 1080, 90Hz refresh rate and support for HDR content.
The OnePlus 8 Pro instead adopts a huge 6,78-inch screen, resolution of 3168 x 1440, a refresh rate of 120Hz and touch sampling frequency of 240Hz. But it does not end here, because we also have a maximum brightness of 1300nit, a JNCD value not exceeding 0,4 (therefore very accurate colors), a 10-bit panel, MEMC movement compensation, HDR10 / 10 + certification, automatic adjustment of the color temperature and brightness adjustment with 4096 levels. It is therefore one of the best displays ever seen on a smartphone and the well-known DisplayMate site has also confirmed this.
Moving on to the photographic sector, the OnePlus 8 comes with three 48MP, 16MP (ultra wide) and 2MP (macro) rear cameras.
On the OnePlus 8 Pro we find a total of four cameras. These include a 48MP main sensor, the Sony IMX689 with f / 1.7 focal aperture, an 48MP ultra wide lens, Sony IMX586 sensor and a 120 ° field of view, a 3x zoom telephoto lens and a color filter lens. .
As for the whole hardware, the OnePlus 8 series adopts the Snapdragon 865 5G, with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.0 internal memory with Turbo Write and HPB function.
While for autonomy we have a 4300mAh battery on the basic version and support for the 30W Warp Charge 30T fast charge. On the OnePlus 8 Pro we find instead a 4510mAh battery that supports both Warp Charge 30T and wireless 30W charging.
Other features include dual speakers with Dolby effects, Haptic Vibration 2.0 linear motors and USB 3.1 interface.
Finally, the OnePlus 8 has a starting price of 719 € for the 8 + 128GB version and 819 € for the 12 + 256 GB version. The OnePlus 8 Pro starts from € 919 for 8 + 128GB and € 1019 for the variant with 12 + 256 GB.
