Although the presentation of the new OnePlus 8 series is scheduled for April 14, a Slovakian store seems not to have received the message correctly. The consequences? Well, now we know all the specifications of the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro with a week in advance.
OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro: Slovak Store reveals all the specifications
Let's start with the most obvious component: the CPU. As usual the new OnePlus series will arrive with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865; accompanied by 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal memory.
As for the other specs, the OnePlus 8 will sport a 6,55-inch AMOLED display with FullHD + resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, an aspect ratio of 20: 9 and a pixel density of 402ppi. The Pro model, on the other hand, will equip a 6,78-inch AMOLED panel, QHD + resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 513ppi pixel density and an aspect ratio of 19,8: 9.
From a photographic point of view, the basic version will use three 48MP, 16MP and 2MP cameras, while the Pro model will feature a configuration with four cameras, which include two 48MP sensors, one 8MP and one 5MP camera.
We also specify that the camera on the basic version is the Sony IMX586 64MP sensor. While the other 16 MP and 2 MP cameras are ultrawide and macro, respectively.
The Pro version instead, uses the Sony IMX689 for the main camera, while the 48MP secondary sensor is the Sony IMX586 coupled to an ultra wide angle lens. The 8MP module comes with a 3x optical telephoto lens and OIS, finally the 5MP camera seems to be accompanied by a filter to add artistic effects.
On the connectivity front, the OnePlus 8 series comes with WiFi 6, NFC, Bluetooth 5.1 and a USB-C port. The duo will also have stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos and will come with an improved vibration motor.
Finally, for prices, we have the OnePlus 8 with a starting price of € 729 for 8GB / 128GB and € 835 for 12GB / 256GB. The 8/8 GB OnePlus 128 Pro will cost € 930 while the 12/256 GB model will be sold for € 1.020.
