The well-known brand OnePlus has just presented the new Ace 3V, the first device in the world to feature the brand new Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset. This processor, which uses the Cortex-X4 CPU core similar to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, represents a generational leap compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 found in the original OnePlus Ace 3 model. The GPU of the new chip should get closer to the performance of the 8 Gen 2 rather than to the standard 7 Gen 3.

The smartphone comes with a AMOLED display from 6,74 inch with resolution of 1.240 x 2.772 pixels e 120Hz refresh rate. It supports 10-bit color with 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space and reaches a peak brightness of 2.150 nits, with DC dimming at higher levels and high-frequency PWM (2.160Hz) at lower levels. Note that this is not an LTPO panel like the standard Ace 3. The hole in the display houses a 16MP sensor with an 2.4° f/82 lens and 1080p video recording at 30fps.
As for the rear cameras, the 50MP main module it uses a Sony IMX882 sensor, which is slightly smaller than the IMX890 (1/1.56″) found on the regular Ace 3. Despite this, it retains optical image stabilization (OIS). On the back we also find an 8MP ultra wide (112°). The main camera supports video recording in 4K at 60fps with electronic stabilization (EIS) and OIS.
The Ace 3V pairs the 7+ Gen 3 chip with 12/16GB of RAM (LPDDR5X) and 256/512GB of storage (UFS 4.0). The chipset is cooled by a vast 9.140mm² vapor chamber. The device comes out of the box with Android 14 (well, Oxygen 14/ColorOS 14).
La battery has a capacity of 5.500mAh and supports the 100W SuperVOOC S charging with a dedicated power management chip. The official numbers state that a charge from 1% to 100% takes just 26 minutes.
Finally, the Ace 3V boasts a IP65 dust and water resistance certification.
The OnePlus Ace 3V is available in two colors: Magic Purple and Titanium Air. It is currently up for pre-order in China, with the base 12/256GB model being costs 2000 Yuan (about 255 euros).
It is expected that the Ace 3V could come to us under the name of OnePlus North 4.
