Official OnePlus Nord CE4 with Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset and 5500mAh battery

OnePlus continues to redefine the concept of mid-range smartphones with the launch of its latest model, the OnePlus Nord CE4. This device stands out for the introduction of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, which promises significantly improved graphics performance over the previous generation, offering nearly double the GPU performance of the older Snapdragon 782G. Manufacturing on a more modern 4nm node not only ensures greater power efficiency, but also takes advantage of the benefits brought by the new CPU cores.

The Nord CE4 presents itself with 8GB of RAM LPDDR4X and options of internal storage of 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.1, expandable via microSD slot up to 1TB. The device is powered by the latest version of Oxygen OS 14 which also offers an additional 8GB of virtual RAM as a distinctive feature.

In terms of autonomy, the Nord CE4 does not disappoint, boasting a battery 5,500mAh which equals the capacity of the OnePlus 12R, the largest among OnePlus phones. Furthermore, the device supports the 100W SuperVOOC charging, which allows you to go from 1% to 100% charge in just 29 minutes, despite the 500mAh larger battery compared to the previous model. Technology Battery Health Engine promises to extend battery life by up to four years of charging cycles, with the 100W SuperVOOC charger included in the package.

As regards the photographic sector, the Nord CE4 takes a step forward compared to its predecessor, the CE3, adopting a new Sony sensor, the 600MP LYT-50, although smaller, maintains the optical image stabilization (OIS). The 8MP ultra wide module continues to use the IMX355 sensor. OnePlus promises significant improvements in image quality thanks to new image processing algorithms, which will benefit all cameras, including the frontal from 16MP. The device also supports video recording up to 4K at 30fps, with 60fps options at 1080p and a 120fps slow-mo mode.

The Nord CE4 is equipped with a 6,7-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a slightly higher aspect ratio of 20:9. The display offers a 120Hz refresh rate and supports 10-bit color with HDR10+ and HDR compatibility for Amazon Prime videos.

The device's design includes internal padding that allows it to withstand 1,5 meter drops onto marble. For the first time, a model from the CE series boasts an official dust and water resistance certification, albeit limited to IP54. Furthermore, the display is able to detect touches even when wet, thanks to fAqua Touch functionality introduced with the OnePlus 12 series.

The Nord CE4 will be available in two color variants: Dark Chrome, with a shiny gray metallic finish, and Celadon Marble, with a texture reminiscent of jade green marble.

Sales of the Nord CE4 will begin in India on April 4. The base 8/128GB model will have a price of 25,000 Indian rupees, around 280 euros at the exchange rate, while the 8/256GB version will cost 27,000 Indian rupees, around 300 euros. On the launch day, it will be possible to receive a free pair of OnePlus Nord Buds 2r worth ₹2,200 (25 euros). Additionally, a trade-in bonus of up to ₹2,500 (28 euros) will be available.

The phone will be available through the site OnePlus.in, the OnePlus Store app, OnePlus Experience stores and a selection of online and offline retailers. With the Nord CE4, OnePlus confirms its commitment to offering high-quality devices at affordable prices, continuing to innovate and meet the needs of value-conscious consumers.

At the moment we still don't have any info on its global arrival, but given that the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G is on sale in our country, we expect to also see the OnePlus Nord CE4 in Italy in the following months.
